This is the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the hiring range and this hiring range may also be modified in the future. A candidate’s position within the hiring range may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for annual bonus incentive pay.

Job Description Summary
This role develops innovative and engaging designs for BCBSA presentations and reports. The role will create data visualization and graphic creation to effectively communicate ideas. The role involves building relationships with clients to understand project scope and messaging, advising on design strategies, and executing projects from start to finish in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and adhering to Brand standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Participates in the development of innovative and creative presentation solutions and business reports design that communicate clearly and effectively to intended audiences. Provide sound and professional recommendations to clients on design and data visualization that meet client needs.

Assists the creative team by taking on additional design projects as needed and provides production support to move those projects to completion.

Interacts with clients including BCBSA employees/senior leadership, to understand business needs, build relationships and manage client satisfaction.

Support BCBS Brand through adhering to brand guidelines and standards, and appropriate use of brand assets (images, icons, colors and fonts) in design work.

Leads projects of moderate scope including concept development, design execution and client relations.
Required Education, Certifications and Experience
-
Bachelors Degree in related discipline (e.g., graphic design, visual communications, digital communications, multimedia, or combination of education and experience.

A minimum of 4 years related business experience

Experience creating dynamic design solutions for PowerPoint presentations, Word documents/reports

Proficient in applications including Microsoft Office, Keynote, and Adobe Creative Suite

Understanding of modern digital media and design technologies and platforms

Comfortable in working on both Mac and PC platforms

Familiarity with health financing industry and concepts

Strong design aesthetic in layout, composition, typography and color usage

Able to interpret complex data into visually engaging, easy-to-understand graphics

Demonstrated ability to interact with multiple levels of business stakeholders to understand and interpret business requirements for the creation of communication collaterals

Proven strong design background

Detail oriented with emphasis on accuracy and quality

Effective prioritizing and time management skills
Preferred Education, Certifications and Experience

Experience with Adobe Cloud Suite (PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator)
