Job Description

This role will be on-site in Chicago, Illinois or Milwaukee, Minnesota.

  • Quickly become familiar with Renesas product portfolio with a focus on analog and power products
  • Interface professionally with customers to understand their technical needs and challenges
  • Identify and pursue new design activity at key customers
  • Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, distribution partners and product engineers to define the best solutions for customers, including block diagrams, schematics, simulations, etc.
  • Establish and grow relationships across a wide range of customers
  • Demonstrate products (GUI, demonstration and evaluation boards for example)
  • Provide technical expertise and support to develop Renesas revenues in cooperation with the sales team
  • Identify new sockets for Renesas by working closely with customers at the project design stage to achieve design win targets
  • Understand competitors’ position within customers and develop strategies to counter their activity
  • Support customers through the whole design lifecycle including first consultancy, design in, prototyping and production

Qualifications

  • Masters Engineering Degree Required, electrical or computer engineering preferred (or bachelor’s degree with 3 years minimum experience)
  •  Self-starter with strong communication skills
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
  • Basics in system design with ability to understand and create block diagrams of customer applications.
  • Motivated, responsive and driven personality required with strong organizational skills
  • Travel required
  • Previous experience as an FAE a plus
  • Strong problem-solving capability to interface customer needs and resources with energetic and creative approaches
  • Capable of identifying key projects and recommending possible solutions
