Job DescriptionWorking under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will assist in developing electrical layouts, performing technical evaluations, supporting site activities, and ensuring design solutions meet project standards, safety requirements, and client expectations.
This role is a part of our 24-months Advance graduate program. Your journey from graduate to future leader will be supported through structured learning programs and one-on-one mentoring with industry experts, equipping you with the tools to make a lasting impact on our organization and the nation.
As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in accordance with UAE labour law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
Job Summary
- Support the preparation of electrical design calculations, drawings, load schedules, and technical documents.
- Assist in the development of power, lighting, ELV, and other building services systems within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Participate in site reviews, inspections, and coordination activities to support quality assurance and design compliance.
- Contribute to design studies, equipment selection, and the evaluation of engineering solutions during planning and construction stages.
- Help maintain organized project documentation, track tasks, and contribute to project workflows under supervision.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
- UAE National with a Family Book (mandatory under Emiratisation requirements).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related building‑services engineering discipline.
- Graduated within the last 24 months to be eligible for the ADVANCE graduate development program.
- Foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles, building systems, load calculations, and safety requirements.
- Familiarity with electrical design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent software; exposure to BIM workflows is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with the willingness to learn from senior engineers and collaborate across disciplines.
- A proactive mindset with eagerness to develop technical competencies and build a career in building services engineering.
