Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a recent graduate to join our Design team in London as a Graduate Content Designer.
Content designers help make products easier to understand and use. We think about what customers need to know and do, then shape the information, structure and words that help them move forward. That creates better experiences for customers and helps more people use Wise successfully.
You could be involved in helping someone understand why their transfer is delayed, making it easier to open an account, explaining a complicated financial concept, or working with others to design a new feature.
There’s no single route into content design. You might think of yourself as a writer or designer, or have studied something like English literature, law, history, linguistics or psychology. Subjects that involve understanding people, language, evidence or complex ideas.
What matters is that you enjoy figuring out what people need to know and do, and finding the clearest way to help them do it.
You’ll join Wise’s mission to build an open, fair and human financial system, because people without borders need money without borders.
About the graduate programme
You’ll learn alongside experienced Content Designers and work closely with Product Designers, Researchers, Engineers, Product Managers and other Wisers.
For your first 10 months, you’ll join one of our product teams and work on real customer problems. You’ll then rotate into a different team for 12 months, giving you the chance to build new skills and experience a different part of Wise.
At the end of the 22-month programme, you’ll move into a permanent role.
You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. You’ll have support from experienced Content Designers, regular feedback and plenty of opportunities to develop your craft.
You’ll also have flexibility in how and where you work. We understand everyone needs a little something different - so we’ll do our best to make it happen, but we recommend coming to the office as much as possible in your first few months.
Throughout the programme, you’ll:
get to know our customers and understand the problems they’re trying to solve
design clear, useful content that helps people use Wise
work with designers, researchers, engineers and product managers to shape customer experiences
turn complicated ideas, processes and financial information into something people can understand
use research, data and feedback to improve your work
develop your skills in content design, product thinking and collaboration
You need to:
be able to start a full-time graduate role in London in September 2027
be early in your career — graduating in 2026 or 2027, recently graduated, or taking your first steps into design
You don’t need to have studied or worked in content design before. We’re looking for people who are curious, thoughtful and excited by solving problems through content.
care about the details, while considering how they fit into the bigger customer journey
want to test your assumptions and learn from research, data and feedback
can explain the thinking behind your decisions
enjoy collaborating with others and are open to feedback
can write clearly and precisely, adapting your language to the situation and audience
You’ll enjoy this role if you:
are curious about people — what they need, how they think and what helps them make decisions
Additional InformationWhat you get back:
Have a real impact. Solve real customer problems
Lots of team activities
Salary of £40,000 plus a $9,600 new hire stock grant and then $4,800 annualised stock grant
Fun offices with social activities
Embrace global connection during Mission Days
Be part of a global team with a global mindset
If you have examples of work where you’ve used content to solve a problem, we’d love to see them.
This could be UX writing, websites, university work, personal projects or anything else that shows how you think about content and make complex information clearer.
If you do share examples, tell us who the work was for, how you approached the problem, the decisions you made, what you learned and the impact of your work.
For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.
We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.
Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
