Job DescriptionKey Activities:
- Support project post order coordination and management activities on global projects located in America, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific
- Assist in the delivery of customer requirements in terms of Quality, Schedule and Cost for large strategic projects through coordination of activities between various internal and external project stakeholders.
- Utilize and maintain John Crane project management methods, standards, and processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop schedules for all project phases and implement the agreed WBS structure to maintain control.
- Coordinate, monitor, and report on internal (Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement) and external (Suppliers, Customers) schedules.
- Analyze progress to detect deviations and escalate issues or potential problem areas.
- Manage inter-departmental activities - SAP, I-Projects, manufacturing releases, SAP quotation and SO, GCN.
- Create and maintain a Master Document Register (MDR) per John Crane and client requirements. Manage documentation revisions with customers and internal departments including follow-up and reminders.
- Review documents/drawings for quality and completeness against John Crane and customer specifications.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of overall project schedules.
- Control and record all documentation transmittals using appropriate tools and processes.
- Monitor the document/drawing approval cycle to ensure approvals as per the project schedule.
- Support key project management processes, including handover and kick-off meetings, order management, risk management, and cost management.
- Facilitate effective communication mechanisms among cross-functional team members.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the John Crane Project Management framework.
- Lead and support delivering medium and small projects, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Support the training and development of team members, including junior engineers and documentation staff.
- Experience : Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/ Chemical).
- Skills: Experienced in MS Office tools – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook. Strong communication and English proficiency, both written and oral.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and finding/applying available data to solve business problems.
Ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
High level of organizational skills
- Reports to Project Delivery Manager
- Key relationships: Managing the internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, customers and suppliers as appropriate.
