Position Overview: We are seeking a world-class Government Sales Director to lead all phases of the sales cycle with Coastal Security, Defense, Law Enforcement and Intelligence organizations across APAC. This role demands a proactive and dynamic approach, as our unique and disruptive solutions make the sales process both challenging and engaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets within assigned territories and key accounts.
  • Understand the customers’ operations and tasks and their needs and look for solutions to deliver those needs through Windward’s portfolio offerings
  • Identify primary budget holders and decision makers within customer organisations, establish and maintain active relationships with these people
  • Provide technical, industry and subject matter expertise and guidance where required
  • Draw on expertise within specialist Solutions experts teams and across the Company for customers as required
  • Determine appropriate solutions, structure, and placement strategies that meet the customers’ needs and deliver profitable business for a range of customers
  • Grow existing portfolio by identifying new opportunities from existing customers
  • Independently conduct product demonstrations (both online and in-person) and manage customer meetings 
  • Develop and implement an annual sales plan that aligns with organisational strategy and objectives.
  • Analyse market data to understand key accounts, fostering relationships in advance of opportunities and pursuing those most likely to result in success.
  • Work directly with end users as well as local partners in the different countries
  • Build and maintain a robust professional network aligned with our target client base across APAC.
  • Understand, apply and adhere to the business unit policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in managing and scaling successful sales processes with Security, Law Enforcement and Intelligence agencies in APAC.
  • Strong specialisation in business processes within relevant verticals, with a deep understanding of decision-making frameworks in these environments.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organisational levels, including executive and C-level.
  • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and independent with a strong desire to achieve results.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and pursue opportunities.
  • Previous experience in engaging and collaborating with business partners (SIs, agents, resellers, distributors, technology partners, consulting companies) is advantageous.
  • Owns a network of potential end users as well as local partners in APAC.
  • Has experience and understands the different business cultures in the region
  • Experience in successful sales of SaaS solutions to security organizations.
  • Maritime industry knowledge or experience is a plus.
