JOB SUMMARY
As Manager of Government Affairs, you’ll drive our federal policy strategy and position the company as a go-to voice on robotics, AI, and automation. This role is about shaping the rules of the road—not just reacting to them.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Build and execute our federal government affairs strategy
- Engage directly with Congress, federal agencies, and the Executive Branch
- Help shape a national robotics strategy covering innovation, safety, workforce, and competitiveness
- Track and influence legislation and regulation affecting robotics and AI
- Represent the company in coalitions, briefings, and policy forums
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear policy narratives
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years in government affairs, public policy, legislative staff, or related roles
- Hands-on experience working with federal policymakers or regulators
- Strong policy writing and communication skills
- Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Bonus: experience with robotics, AI, autonomy, or advanced technology policy
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in political science or similar field
- 5+ years in government affairs, public policy, legislative staff, or related roles
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 25-45 pounds at times
- Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen
- Hearing and speech to communicate
