The Governance & Compliance Manager, for the Eastern Hemisphere, is appointed by the Governance and Compliance Director and reports directly to him.
The Governance & Compliance Manager (Eastern Hemisphere) is the point of contact for local advice and support in matters concerning Quality, Operational Safety, Environmental Monitoring and ISO 17020 Accreditation matters.

Key Responsibilities:
Service support
- Main point of contact for and towards local countries in matters concerning Quality, Operational Safety, Environmental Monitoring and ISO 17020 Accreditation matters.
- Monitor, assess and propose improvements of HSEQ performance and related tools to ensure required quality, efficiency, and implement of best practices.
- Support implementation of changes in local and HSEQ processes and related tools.
- Monitor local HSEQ KPI’s and QPI’s.
- Coordinate and promote experience feedback.
- Carry-out Synergi Life training to local employees.
Quality, Operational Safety, Environmental Management and ISO 17020
- Supporting the development, implementation and improvement of the HSEQ management system.
- Main point of contact with local Accreditation Bodies within the Region
- Responsible for maintaining the local ISO 17020 Accreditation(s) during each life cycle (4 years)
- Monitoring of inspectors and preparation of relevant monitoring plan(s)
- Supporting the development and implementation of HSEQ improvement plans to deliver objectives, targets and improvement initiatives.
- Monitoring and analysis of HSEQ management and performance, including planning and conducting internal HSEQ audits and follow-up of findings.
- Formal and informal HSEQ performance communication and reporting through the monitoring and follow-up of the global quality KPI’s/QPI’s.
- Facilitating and where appropriate, the definition and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Facilitate and actively participate during external ISO 17020 audits as local “Technical Manager”. Ensure and report on the adequate handling of findings from all external and internal audits, coordinate responses, and follow-up corrective and preventive actions are implemented by Line management (in collaboration with the Governance & Compliance Director).
- Assisting in the provision of HSEQ training and awareness.
- Promote the use of Synergi Life for the follow-up of HSEQ cases.
- Monitor, report and follow-up performance for HSEQ related activities, in particular registration and handling of HSEQ cases in Synergi Life.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual HSEQ improvement plan and the Management System Review.
- Co-ordinate and maintain Local Operating Procedures.
- Maintenance and follow-up of local notifications and accreditations, as applicable.
- Liaise with Group Regional HSE Specialists and Country HSE Co-ordinators, to provide Inspection specific input where required and support implementation of Group Global / Country-wide initiatives.

Technical / Professional Expertise and Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant industry experience (Knowledge of main international standards incl. ASME, API etc.)
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant HSEQ industry legislation and best practice
- Solid working knowledge of quality assurance practices, processes and standards, as well as extensive experience in ISO 17020 Accreditation Management
- Professional membership of a recognised international safety / quality institute, or similar (would be an advantage)
- Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9K, 14K, 45K), and certified training on ISO 17020 is necessary
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Computer literate, with good IT skills including experience of all MS Office applications
- Prior knowledge of Inspection Production Systems, would be an advantage
