GOS Senior Finance ManagerJob Description Summary
The Senior Finance Manager oversees the finance and accounting operations for a critical Global Occupier Services account at Cushman & Wakefield. This individual is responsible for overseeing and executing day to day transactional accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across core accounting processes. This role owns critical workflows end to end, including AP/AR, billing, cash application, account reconciliations, and month end close routines, and ensures that all processes operate efficiently and consistently.The role includes managing a small team drives process discipline and improvements, and maintaining strong internal controls. While the position partners with Finance, it is oriented toward operational accounting and will contribute and support the FP&A function on account.
Job Description
Transactional Accounting
- Oversee daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, cash application, and general ledger updates.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, deposits, and journal entries.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close activities, including preparation and review of account reconciliations.
- Maintain complete and accurate ledgers in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure consistent coding, documentation, and support for all transactional entries.
Process Ownership & Controls
- Own assigned accounting processes end‑to‑end, ensuring standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen internal controls and compliance, including SOX requirements where applicable.
- Develop and maintain process maps, SOPs, and performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop team members, including workload distribution, coaching, performance management, and hiring.
- Establish expectations for accuracy, accountability, and responsiveness.
- Foster a collaborative, service‑oriented environment with internal business partners.
Cross‑Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Procurement, and other internal groups to resolve issues and improve process flow.
- Support audits (internal and external) by preparing schedules and providing transaction‑level detail as needed.
- Provide accounting guidance on business activities, ensuring proper treatment for new processes or transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience.
- Experience leading or managing a team.
- Strong knowledge of AP, AR, billing, GL, and close processes.
- Demonstrated process ownership and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in process improvement, standardization, and internal controls.
- Yardi experience a plus; strong Excel skills required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
