Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Application Developer with requisite years of hands-on experience to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large datasets and utilizing AWS public cloud services to support the design, development, and maintenance of scalable architectures. Responsibilities and Duties·

• Conduct design and code reviews to ensure compliance with standards and expected quality.
• Partner with security, privacy, and legal teams to deliver solu6ons that comply to GoDaddy security and privacy policies.
• Partner with product engineering and peer data engineering teams to instrument and understand.
• Designing and building data pla?orm products for GoDaddy scale and experience.
• Takes opportuni6es to mentor other members of the team on technology and standard prac6ces

Qualifications and Skills

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ to 9 years of professional experience in full-stack application development and data engineering.
• Experience working with large-scale, distributed applications in the cloud (AWS preferred).

Technical Skills:

• 8+ years of full soUware development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, tes6ng, and operations experience.
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems, such as high-volume SaaS environments. Ideally experienced in scaling products 0->1.
• Expert in programming languages like Java, Python or Scala.
• Hands-on experience in RESTful webservices in Golang (Primary) and python(Secondary). GraphQL API development is a plus.
• Should have worked on SQL(Postgres) and NoSQL db(DynamoDB, Cassandra or MongoDB).
• Good knowledge in messaging systems: SQS
• Experienced in AWS stack - EC2, SQS, SNS, S3, lambda
• In depth knowledge of Cloud Na6ve Architecture, Microservice Architecture and related stacks (Service Registry, ELK / Splunk, service registry etc.) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Should have a strong Quality focussed approach to development – experience with various Unit Tes6ng, Integra6on Tes6ng, and End-to-end func6onal tes6ng frameworks is required
