What you'll do
- Maintain the general ledger for multiple entities, recording transactions accurately, timely, and in accordance with US GAAP.
- Own accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor onboarding, invoice routing, and invoice and billing coding.
- Record accounting transactions in the correct accounting period.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, corporate cards, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare journal entries for accruals, reclasses, prepaid amortization, deferred revenue, and month-end close adjustments.
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and related analysis.
- Partner with the Controller, Capital Partners, to implement standardized processes and procedures across all entities.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation to support external auditors, internal controls testing, and financial reporting requirements.
- Drive timely completion of month-end close activities in line with public-company reporting timelines.
What we're looking for
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 3–5 years of staff accounting experience.
- Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or FloQast, and advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate coding and documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment across multiple entities and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership skills
