We are seeking an experienced VAT Manager to lead Global Indirect Tax Compliance and Reporting. This person will also advise on current operations and expansions into new countries and markets!

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with our compliance teams on monthly/quarterly VAT and GST Tax returns.

  • Reconcile the transaction tax general ledger accounts per the ERP(SAP) back to source systems and OneSource Tax Engine.

  • Monitor local laws and rules to ensure global compliance and submit new VAT/GST registrations, as needed.

  • Use best in class technology solutions to develop, improve and implement process improvements within the indirect tax reporting function.

  • Partner with local Controllership to lead data requests related to VAT/GST audits.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting.

  • 8+ overall years of US Indirect Tax experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or corporate in-house.

  • Deep understanding of the VAT/GST impact on the global supply chain cycle and the indirect tax impacts on cross-country inventory movements.

  • Experience with preparing and submitting VAT returns, with an emphasis on Canada, EU, UK, and Asia.

  • Ability to collaborate with business partners to understand VAT impacts arising from expansion into new market/countries.

  • Ability to communicate with tax authorities to lead tax audits and inquiries.

  • Experience evaluating ever-changing tax laws and policies, with emphasis on how and why they relate to Nvidia, including global E-invoicing requirements.

  • Outstanding teammate who is flexible and able to work with several business teams.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Prior experience with supporting tax requirements for B2B and B2C hardware/software sales in a high-volume environment.

  • Understanding of SAP (including S4/HANA) , OneSource Indirect Tax Engine.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables with both business partners and all aspects related to VAT/GST compliance.

  • Experience working with tax authorities on successfully reclaiming import VAT using different approaches, including the EU 13th directive.

The base salary range is 136,000 USD - 258,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
