We are now looking for a Global Trade Compliance Manager to join our team. In this role, you are the center of excellence for customs and trade compliance, ensuring our global supply chain operates in line with applicable regulations and international trade requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity for a compliance professional who enjoys working across functions, navigating complex regulatory environments, and influencing global operations.
What you'll be doing
As Global Trade Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in safeguarding and strengthening Wilhelmsen's trade compliance across our globally.
Monitoring and interpreting global customs, trade, import/export, and sanctions regulations, ensuring Wilhelmsen remains compliant with evolving requirements.
Developing and continuously improving trade compliance frameworks, policies, processes, and controls across our global operations.
Acting as the organization’s subject matter expert on customs and trade compliance, providing guidance to stakeholders across the business.
Leading trade compliance risk assessments and driving initiatives to strengthen compliance, governance, and data quality.
Managing trade compliance documentation, licensing requirements, regulatory reporting, and communications with relevant authorities.
Partnering with Operations, Customs, Transport Managers, Procurement, Product Management, QHSSE, and external partners to support compliant global trade activities.
Delivering training and promoting awareness to foster a strong culture of trade compliance across the organization.
What we're looking for:
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
A bachelor’s degree in Customs, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
At least 3 years of experience working with customs operations, international trade, or trade compliance.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs requirements, including:
Tariff classification (HS codes)
Rules of origin
Import and export controls
Customs clearance processes
Trade sanctions and regulatory compliance
Excellent communication skills with professional proficiency in English.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
A structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.
The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a global environment.

Skills Required
