Do you have a passion for technology and a strong sales mindset to drive business growth?

Join a role where your technical insight and commercial mindset shape service concepts used worldwide. Step into a position where you elevate equipment lifecycle performance, influence global workshop capabilities, and turn innovation into real customer value. In this role, you collaborate across regions, impact strategic decisions, and help transform how service models support the pulp-making industry. If you enjoy combining technology, business understanding, and global collaboration, this is a chance to make a measurable difference.

Your responsibilities
  • Collaborate with global and regional Workshop Operations to ensure service technologies, repair concepts, and business models are scalable, feasible, and cost‑competitive.

  • Identify new opportunities by proposing repairable components and insourcing candidates based on market and customer needs.

  • Partner with workshop and regional leaders to support footprint development and investment planning by aligning technology roadmaps with business execution needs.

  • Develop innovative service concepts and commercial models that create new lifecycle‑aligned revenue streams.

  • Act as the bridge between workshop operations, sales, and quality teams to ensure smooth concept development, deployment, and implementation globally.

Expectations for you
  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.

  • You bring practical understanding of pulp industry processes—especially wood handling, pulp drying, and baling.

  • You have strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, operation, and lifecycle management.

  • You are familiar with workshop operations, technology transfer, and training practices.

  • You have strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

To succeed in this role

You excel when combining technical expertise with commercial thinking. You are proactive, analytical, and eager to challenge existing practices to strengthen our service offering. You collaborate easily across global networks and communicate clearly with both technical and commercial stakeholders. You enjoy driving development forward and turning insights into scalable concepts.
We also expect you to align with Valmet’s Leadership Principles—practical behaviours that guide how we lead, collaborate, and succeed together:
