Global Senior Sales Engineer
Job summary
The Global Senior Sales Engineer is a relatively new role. Currently only a team of two, we are looking to expand the team due to the maturing needs of the Global team.
Job description
The Global Senior Sales Engineer role is to be a voice for the local sales engineering teams at HQ. You will be a Sales Engineering evangelist, support the local teams' efforts by assisting them with communications to multi-disciplinary HQ teams, provide guidance in understanding how products and services are demonstrated in the field and assist with assembling a business case for tooling or training needs.
Job Tasks (main priorities):
- Collecting feedback
You will be in constant contact with your peers in local offices, understanding their needs and most importantly, collecting quantitative and qualitative data about your interactions.
- Demonstration guidance
Provide product demonstrations both in person and online to potential clients or partners and be the technical lead on large deals, driving the opportunity to close. You will liaise with product management personnel, understanding the features and roadmap in preparation for delivering webinar sessions for your local sales engineering colleagues, explaining the key features and actively provide coaching on the best methods to demonstrate feature sets.
- Maintaining Global demonstration environment
Maintaining the global demonstration environment templates and ensuring the messaging from product management teams is in sync with the sales team by asking relevant questions to build stories and flows for demonstrations.
- Participate in trade shows and conferences globally
On occasion, you may be required to travel globally to participate in large conferences and trade shows. Either to take part in demonstrating the suite of solutions or present a topic.
- RF assistance to the Global Deals Desk
The Global Deals Desk provides local offices assistance with tenders, questionnaires, RFP, RFI, RFQ documentation. You will contact members of various HQ teams and provide the technical responses for these requests and respond to reseller and high touch customer requests for technical assistance.
- Sales Market Requirement (SMR) submission assessment and maintenance
Provide feedback to product development teams regarding product changes as it relates to customer requirements via the SMR process. The Sales Market Requirements are technical snapshots in time of feature requests. They allow us to quantify the value in revenue for the most requested features, helping us to steer our products towards market demand and provide customer focused feature specifications to our Product Managers who are focusing on the future of our solutions. As a global senior sales engineer, you will maintain the SMR webpage and present the submission specifications to the product management teams and sales leadership.

The Global Sales Engineer needs to exhibit and be able to demonstrate a mixture of attributes:
- You need to proactively support your colleagues. Seeing where improvements can be made and start efforts to engage the resolution process and see them through to completion. We expect you to be self-sufficient in your daily duties, being quick to spot whether there are resources that either yourself or your local office colleagues need and immediately start to monitor such needs to provide evidence for validation.
- You will need to have a direct customer/end user facing technical led background with experience in the field. (MUST) At least five+ years in a Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success (technical emphasis) experience in the cyber security field.
- You will always consider yourself a student and continuously learning with an ability to train and share your gained knowledge with others effectively, applying your coaching framework and convey complex systems and issues with an effective manner, both written and verbally.
- You have a mindset that is “everyone is a salesperson”, understanding that internal marketing and communication is just as important at the global level.
Other Skillsets
- Fluent English (C1)
- Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Windows (including server versions), Mac, Linux (including server versions).
- Advanced computer networking environments.
- Knowledge of cloud architecture utilising Azure (preferred) and/or AWS.
- Networking Cyber Security knowledge.
- Knowledge of Red/ Blue teaming and ability to replicate TTPs.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and/or Podman.
- Experience of using REST APIs.
- Skill in business communication and making excellent presentations.
- Ability to train others.
- Experience in Telco/ISP business is an advantage.

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: from 3500 EUR /month
- Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 15% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period (usually 6 months)
