Job Description:
This is a pivotal leadership role within Mars, which is responsible for shaping and executing the global commercial content strategy in partnership with brand marketing, marketing operations, and marketing suppliers across all segments and divisions. This role exists to drive impactful procurement strategies, optimize marketing spend, and enhance supplier collaboration through clean strategies and aligned delivery plans, compelling content, and effective stakeholder engagement.
What are your key responsibilities?
You will lead and mentor a global content team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
You will manage external content vendors and agencies to ensure competitive performance, contract delivery, project pipeline management, and innovation.
You will embed the agency ecosystem vendors to complete the Transition from Incumbents and lead the Transformation into 2026.
You will drive commercial deals by leading or support negotiations and execution of global deals, collaborating closely with marketing teams and suppliers to deliver best-in-class commercial outcomes.
You will oversee sourcing activities for global businesses, ensuring alignment with Mars’ strategic priorities and market conditions.
You will develop and execute a global commercial content strategy supporting marketing procurement objectives, including supplier communications, training materials, policy documentation, and marketing collateral.
You will implement governance frameworks to maintain quality, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
What are we looking for the role?
Procurement/Commercial Experience within marketing content disciplines (Media, Creative, Production, Public Relations, Social and Influencer, Sponsorship, Design and Talent).
Agency experience: An ideal candidate will have had experience serving as both an agency partner and a client to allow for enhanced knowledge of how an agency operates.
Global team management: Proven experience managing global teams and working in cross-cultural environments.
Commercial acumen: Able to successfully lead best in class negotiations
Stakeholder influence: Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.
