Job Summary

The Operations Manager at SHI International will oversee strategic planning and governance processes for departmental programs, ensuring optimal performance through the management of escalated and high-value projects. This role involves tracking key performance indicators, facilitating issue resolution, and actively participating in continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational processes. Additionally, the Operations Manager will provide mentorship and training to employees, lead strategic initiatives on compliance and specialization, and engage in business strategy discussions with leadership.
This position will be required to report to an on-site customer location in Indianapolis, Indiana, as determined by SHI management.

Role Description

  • Manage multiple product catalogs

  • Create processes to meet specific Client requirements

  • Assist with project management of both new and current projects.

  • Make recommendations for business process improvements

  • Updating and following up with customer with order status, delivery and receipt in timely manner.

  • Investigate and resolve order issues

  • Single escalation point for orders placed through specified Client teams

  • Create Requisitions on behalf of the customer in their system. Order weekly/monthly stock of peripherals.

  • Initial point of contact for end users making purchases through catalogs

  • Facilitate day-to-day transactional business with (sourcing, quoting, order entry)

  • Daily On-Site Point of contact for Client Sourcing/Procurement

  • Monitor and maintain service level requirements

  • Participation in QBR and Client Program Management Meetings

  • Potentially manage customer inventory move from Indianapolis to SHI warehouse

  • Manage reporting to ensure monthly chargebacks occur

  • Help support special requests

Skill Level Requirements

  • Ability to create and develop training content, conduct needs assessments, and mentor team members. - Intermediate

  • Strong understanding of technical concepts and proficient with Microsoft Office products. - Intermediate

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor matrixed or cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to company rules and work ethics. - Intermediate

Other Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's Degree or related experience

  • Experience working at a technology company or a matrixed organization with competing priorities

  • 3-5 years of experience in program or project management or operations management

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $58,000 - $65,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
