What we are looking for
The Global Sales Data Scientist will join our Global team of Retail Excellence covering a key role in the development of advanced analysis, machine learning models and data visualization products. With exposure to the entire retail business, you will work to optimize sales strategies to generate new business opportunities and growth.
Main activities:
- Works on strategically identified, cutting-edge data science use cases that cover the entire sales journey.
- Use of advanced analytics methods to extract insights from business data.
- Performs analysis and builds data-driven models to answer business questions and needs.
- Create hypotheses and experiments to identify hidden relationships to direct new Sales strategies.
- Develops visualizations and presentations to influence key stakeholders in implementing key recommendations from data science initiatives.
- Develops machine learning models with the aim to facilitate Sales processes.
- Collaborate with other team members across Marketing/CRM, IT, Reporting & Analytics to build shared data products, dashboards and advanced analysis.
What you'll need
- Degree in quantitative fields like Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Computing and Engineering.
- 3/4 years of experience in data science projects, preferably with experience in time series forecasting, optimization and classical machine learning problems.
- Previous exposure to large language models or data governance/quality tools and techniques is considered a plus.
- Able to work in synergy with external resources, helping in the development of models and analysis.
- Open minded to change and always seek to improve your way of working, knowledge and attitude.
- A self-starter approach with the confidence to look beyond the “here and now” for the “what could be”.
- Have a strong inclination to data analysis combined with same attention to business impacts.
- Excellent knowledge of Office package, with advanced expertise in Excel (pivot, macro, statistics formulas).
- Proficient with SQL, Python, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Tensorflow, or Pytorch.
- Working experience with PowerBI and GCP tools for data science
- Working knowledge of code versioning and testing.
- Fluent in English dge of PowerBI, SSRS, Dataiku and GCP tools for data science.
