Job Summary:
As the Global Sales Compensation Strategy Manager, you will lead the design of Altus Group's Sales Compensation Plans and Policies. This role involves leading the global sales incentive compensation strategy, owning core compensation processes, and providing data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will design a scalable, cost-effective sales compensation program to optimize revenue growth and attract top talent. This role also involves significant engagement and collaboration across Sales, Finance, Operations, HR, Legal, etc. to ensure efficient compensation planning across sales roles and segments to achieve GTM goals. Additionally, you will work closely with the sales compensation administration manager to ensure success of the strategy.
Key Responsibilities.

Own the Sales Compensation roadmap and prioritization with the Steering Committee

Establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders and business leaders throughout Sales, Finance, HR, and Legal in the development, design, terms & conditions, processes and policies to support the business strategy.

Develop a deep understanding of Altus Group's sales motion, sales compensation plans, metrics, and data

Continuously analyze sales compensation plan effectiveness in achieving business goals/strategy and performance metrics to ensure alignment with GTM goals

Own the annual sales compensation budgeting and accrual process providing updates regularly. Additionally, you will develop and consider financial guardrail mechanisms.

Work closely with the Sales Comp Administration Manager on sales compensation/performance results and evaluate compensation plan effectiveness, deliver key results to compensation committee.

Collaborate with the sales team on escalated compensation issues by providing insights and analysis. As well as with management on pay decisions, compensation practices, and policy and guideline interpretation.

Collaborate Develop and implement comprehensive and streamlined content and communications as it relates to the annual sales compensation plan, related changes, and statements to the field.

Work closely with cross-functional M&A teams to manage the integration of the sales employees, including sales incentive plan transition strategy, base pay, target incentive, OTE adjustments, and retention programs.

Implement best practices surrounding sales productivity improvements to ensure alignment with compensation plan components. Manage the planning and cadence of the annual quota and territory review and modeling process, focused on coverage and deployment.
Key Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Sales Compensation Design, Sales Strategy and Operations at a technology company, or as a management consultant

Experience with sales compensation plan structures: quotas, accelerators, pay mix, leverage, etc

Proficiency in interpreting, understanding, and guiding compensation policies, procedures, and guidelines, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the capability to appropriately define issues, questions, optimizing data and reports; to comprehend qualitative and quantitative methods to perform accurate analysis, deploy action plans and determine future capabilities.

Highly motivated self-starter that can effectively manage multiple competing projects while being focused on critical timelines. Strong organizational skills and creative problem-solver

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with different levels of management.

Experience in engaging in strategic discussions with leadership and delivering presentations, with demonstrated experience working closely with field sales teams and senior management.

Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and database. Experience with Salesforce.com, Xactly Incent or equivalent compensation system and experience working in enterprise finance systems.
