This role is part of our Industrial Food & Heat Transfer organization within Business Unit Water, Industrial Food & Heat Transfer Technologies (WIFH), serving a broad range of industries and applications across global markets.

About The Job

As a strategic business developer, you will help shape the direction and commercial agenda of the business, turning market intelligence, customer insights, and business performance into clear strategic priorities and growth initiatives. Acting as a key connector across the organization, you will work closely with senior leadership, Global Sales, Service, Product Management, Marketing, and other functions to align commercial priorities, unlock synergies, and accelerate execution. You will bring a strong external perspective, a commercial mindset, and a structured approach to complex business challenges, ensuring that strategy translates into profitable growth and measurable business impact.

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and commercial priorities.

  • Develop and implement business strategies, actionable growth plans, and recommendations for senior management.

  • Coordinate strategic roadmaps across Marketing, Product Management, Commercial Development, and Competence Development.

  • Partner with senior leadership to align business priorities and drive commercial direction.

  • Lead and execute strategic commercial initiatives, including value proposition development and go-to-market strategies.

  • Identify and leverage synergies between sales and service to unlock new revenue streams.

  • Translate market insights into concrete business opportunities and initiatives.

  • Facilitate industry insight sessions and webinars to share commercial intelligence and support global business decisions.

  • Ensure market opportunities are effectively translated into actionable plans and measurable results.

This position is at our Lund office in Sweden, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 25 – 30 days per year.

What You Know

You bring a strong combination of strategic, commercial, and market-oriented expertise, with the ability to turn insights into clear business priorities and growth initiatives. You understand how to connect market opportunities, customer needs, and commercial capabilities to develop strategies that create measurable business impact.

  • A degree in Business, or a related field, is preferred; however, a proven track record in a similar strategic business development role can carry equal weight.

  • Experience developing strategic frameworks, business strategies, and roadmaps.

  • Strong market analysis and insight generation, with the ability to translate trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience with go-to-market strategy and commercial development, from identifying opportunities through to execution.

  • Strong understanding of customers, industries, and applications, with the ability to connect market needs to business opportunities.

  • Strong sales and commercial acumen, including an understanding of value propositions, revenue drivers, and profitable growth.

  • Experience working across functions such as Sales, Service, Marketing, and Product Management in a complex international organization.

  • Experience turning data and market intelligence into fact-based business cases and recommendations is an advantage.
