As a Global QC Manager, you are responsible for the global knowledge, expertise, performance and procedures within the Quality Control organization. You will ensure that inspections and quality controls are carried out in a consistent manner around the world, while making the most of local expertise and practical experience.
You will build a high-quality QC team that is both professionally strong and works well with Procurement, Engineering, Project Teams and suppliers. You are the driving force behind continuous improvement in quality control processes, harmonization of working methods, and assurance of international standards.
Your responsibilities
- Lead and further develop the global QC team.
- Securing and improving quality control procedures, standards and working methods.
- Align and collaborate with regional QA/QC Leads to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Monitoring and reporting performance (KPIs) of QC worldwide.
- Propagate a "first time right" mentality towards internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Initiating improvement programs based on data and inspection results.
- Acting as an escalation point for critical quality issues in the supply chain.
- Close cooperation with Global Procurement and Engineering to embed quality aspects in projects and tenders at an early stage.
- Actively contribute to supplier development and audits.
Your profile
- Experience & knowledge
- Completed technical education (HBO/WO), preferably Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Technology or similar.
- At least 8–10 years of experience in Quality Control/QA, including several years in an international or project-based environment.
- Demonstrable experience in leading multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards, inspection methodologies and international standards (ISO, IACS, etc.).
- Experience with supplier audits and quality assurance in complex supply chains.
- Excellent command of English; other languages are an advantage.
