Job Description:

This Role…

As a Global Conference Producer at ATD, you will report to our Manager, Global Events and play a key role in launching and developing innovative event formats that drive sponsorship and attendee revenue. Your responsibilities will include conducting market research, developing event themes, managing speaker acquisition, and assisting with all aspects of event programming and logistics.

Specifically, the key initiatives you will support in this role include:

• Develop and launch new event formats that are both commercially viable and engaging for sponsors and attendees.

• Conduct in-depth market research with key stakeholders, industry experts, and thought leaders to identify trends and develop relevant event themes and topics.

• Create event programs based on research, including session titles, descriptions, and learning outcomes.

• Build and maintain an updated speaker database, including keynote speakers.

• Manage speaker acquisition and relationships from initial outreach to contract negotiation.

• Negotiate speakers’ fees, travel arrangements, and contracts.

• Collect and manage speakers' bios and photos, ensuring they are correctly featured on event websites.

• Collaborate with event partners for regular updates on agenda development and speaker acquisitions.

• Handle relationships with speaker agencies, managing contracting terms effectively.

• Ensure all program updates are reflected in real-time on event websites.

• Meet with speakers pre-event to confirm time slots and align on content.

• Oversee speaker promotional activities, including videos and webinars.

• Manage logistics related to speaker expenses and travel arrangements.

About you…

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in conference production

• Experience in global programming and conference production, with a preference for experience in the Middle East market strongly preferred

• Strong research capabilities to identify industry trends and develop relevant conference themes and tracks.

• Excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and industry experts.

• Proven expertise in speaker acquisition, content development, and event execution.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

• High standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.

• Creative thinker with a strong focus on achieving business objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

• We’re a collaborative team of 18 with team members located in the US, Canada, China, and the UAE. 

• Our goal is to support ATD’s global expansion by providing services to international members, bringing international members and delegations to ATD’s events, and making ATD’s products and resources available outside of the U.S. through various partnerships.
