Global Product Costing Specialist
As a Global Product Costing Specialist, you will play a key individual contributor role within the Global Product Cost team, leveraging 10–15 years of experience in product cost and product management to drive accurate should cost models, support pricing and margin decisions, and enable design to cost and sourcing strategies. The Global Product Costing Specialist requires deep hands-on expertise in product costing, strong cross functional collaboration, and the ability to translate complex cost data into clear business insights.

We are seeking a highly experienced Global Product Costing Specialist to support cost transparency, margin improvement, and data driven decision making across our global product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end product cost analysis for manufactured and sourced products across global factories.
- Develop, maintain, and validate detailed product cost models, including material, labor, overhead, logistics, and regional cost differences.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by building cost estimates, validating targets, and tracking cost evolution through the development lifecycle.
- Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure accurate and aligned cost data.
- Provide cost insights to support pricing decisions, business cases, and margin analysis.
- Identify and quantify cost‑out and cost optimization opportunities, including design‑to‑cost and value engineering initiatives.
- Monitor and explain product cost changes, including standard vs actual variances and their impact on profitability.
- Maintain and govern cost data within ERP systems and reporting tools, ensuring consistency and data integrity.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for product costing, providing guidance and best practices across the organization.
Skills & Qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience in product costing, product management, cost engineering, or related roles within manufacturing or engineered products.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, cost models).
- Strong capability in Microsoft PowerPoint for executive‑level storytelling.
- Experience using Power BI for cost reporting and analytics.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with cross‑functional and senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating independently in a global, matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting global product portfolios and multi‑region manufacturing footprints.
- Exposure to pricing, margin management, or commercial decision support is a plus.
