MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The Global Procurement COE Head must be a thought leader with a demonstrated ability to approach transformation, passion for Procurement change resilience and a drive for excellence amongst the procurement team and its partners.
1. Procurement Strategy
- Define and implement a robust procurement strategy that maximizes value from suppliers’ partnerships, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term objectives.
- Lead the development of a comprehensive Vendor Management Program, focusing on cost optimization, quality assurance, and performance improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (BD, Quality, Supply Chain) to align procurement strategies with product lifecycle requirements.
- Optimize the External Supply network by streamlining contracts and focusing on strategic partnerships to improve manufacturing performance and reduce costs.
2. Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management
- Establish procurement governance frameworks that ensure compliance with industry regulations, while meeting internal quality standards.
- Implement advanced risk management frameworks to proactively identify and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal policies and external regulatory requirements, reducing audit risks.
3. Process and Digital Transformation
- Lead the implementation of cutting-edge procurement technologies to enhance data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Optimize the Source-to-Pay (S2P) process to achieve adherence and seamless integration with business units.
- Develop predictive analytics capabilities and business insights to anticipate, evaluate supplier performance, and inform procurement strategies.
4. Continuous Improvement and Sustainability
- Drive initiatives focused on Lean methodologies to streamline processes and achieve cost savings.
- Champion sustainability within procurement by embedding ESG principles into sourcing strategies, including reducing carbon emissions and fostering circular economy practices.
- Lead cross-functional transformation projects, ensuring alignment with global objectives and fostering innovation within procurement.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Organizational Development
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, providing insights and recommendations on procurement strategies.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on procurement objectives and fostering collaboration across functions.
- Develop and execute capability-building programs, ensuring the procurement team is equipped with the necessary skills to navigate a rapidly changing industry.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Educational Background:
- Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in global procurement or supply chain management, with a significant focus on CDMO or third-party manufacturing management.
- Proven track record of managing complex procurement operations in global, matrixed organizations
