Gucci Westman has more than 20 years of professional experience as a major editorial makeup artist, contributing to publications like Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Position Summary

The Global Pro Artist is the ultimate guardian of artistry excellence, education impact, and event execution for Westman Atelier. Reporting to our Head of Sales with a dotted line to our Founder, Gucci Westman, this role is instrumental in translating Gucci’s signature aesthetic and luxury philosophy into high-impact regional strategies. You will work as a close strategic partner to Gucci, the corporate Sales & Education team, and our premium retail partners to elevate the in-store experience and drive business results through world-class artistry and event activations.
This is a high-visibility opportunity for a poised, articulate, and polished artist-educator who excels at leading masterclasses for both internal teams and consumer audiences. The ideal candidate possesses elite luxury artistry skills, a strategic mindset for identifying team development opportunities, and the ability to command a room with presence and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
Education/Artistry
  • Serve as the definitive regional voice for Gucci’s artistry, ensuring her luxury approach is authentically represented across all touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Education Executives (SEEs) to design quarterly education strategies that sharpen artistry skills and accelerate regional sales performance.
  • Deliver engaging, hands-on artistry training and service excellence workshops that reinforce Westman Atelier’s premium standards.
  • Lead new-hire onboarding and the evolution of the "Westman 101" program to ensure consistent product knowledge and technique across retail partners.
  • Cultivate influential relationships with store leadership to align on event objectives and maximize brand advocacy throughout every activation.

Events

  • Facilitate and lead brand-defining events, masterclasses, and "Featured Artist" activations across in-store and virtual environments.
  • Own event logistics from concept through completion, including scheduling, on-site execution, and comprehensive post-event recaps.
  • Provide exceptional white-glove service through personalized artistry demonstrations and bespoke product recommendations during brand events and activations.
  • Monitor in-store activity and competitor trends, capturing innovative ideas and visual recaps to inform future global strategies.

Retail/in-store experience 

  • Lead cluster training, round robins, and ongoing support for Beauty and Personal Stylists to deepen client engagement.
  • Partner with SEEs and retail leads on seasonal planning and the execution of key retail initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sephora RPBEMs on regional strategies and new store openings; manage CRC partnerships and client outreach for department store partners.
  • Leverage reporting insights to coach resident artists and zone staff, ensuring every interaction reflects the brand’s luxury aesthetic.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of elite makeup artistry and retail education experience within the luxury sector. Proven success within Sephora and/or Nordstrom environments is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional high-level artistry skills with a demonstrated ability to translate complex techniques into digestible, sales-driving education.
  • Highly poised, articulate, and polished with commanding presentation skills suitable for a luxury brand environment.
  • Strong project management and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines in a high-growth setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build rapport with store management, internal stakeholders, and VIP clients.
  • Adaptable and self-motivated with a willingness to work weekends and travel regionally/internationally for events and training.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and familiarity with retail systems (e.g., Sephora Education Portal, H@SM).
Westman Atelier offers a holistic total compensation package designed to support employees in all aspects of life, including a robust suite of health benefits, wellness perks, 401k, and paid parental leave. The base salary for this position will range from $120,000 - 137,000. Exact compensation may vary based on job related skills, experience, and location.
