We are currently seeking a Global Payroll Supervisor at LXT. leads and manages all aspects of payroll for over 500 employees across multiple international locations. This role supports global expansion by ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance in diverse jurisdictions, while contributing to a high-growth environment. It offers a strong foundation in both operational and technical payroll processes.
Additionally, the GPS is responsible for developing and maintaining a world-class payroll function in a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization. The position reports to the Treasurer of Finance and collaborates closely with the HR and Accounting teams
Responsibilities
Payroll processing:
- International locations such as Canada, US (multi-state), India, Egypt, & Europe.
- Handle semi-monthly disbursement of payroll, including taxes for 500+ employees
- Record journal entries, and provide general ledger support for all payroll-related transactions
- Prepare and review payroll-related account reconciliations
- Audit support
Regulatory compliance:
- Good understanding of payroll procedures, laws, taxes, and best practices. Open to work with regulatory bodies & consultants to understand compliance requirements and implement processes to manage compliance
- Support various external, payroll, and agency audits, both domestic and international
- Review quarterly and annual payroll tax filings; ensure all local statutory payroll and fringe benefit reporting requirements are met
- Respond to tax notices, wage orders, and governmental correspondence
Process improvements & automation:
- Critically review and analyze current payroll processes to provide recommendations and solutions to management for opportunities to streamline and further automate existing processes
- Assist with special projects as needed
Business partnering:
- Providing excellent service by resolving issues and answering payroll-related questions in a timely manner
- Partner with HR and Accounting teams to handle employee payroll issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 5 to 8 years’ of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Frequently interacts with supervisors, customers, and/or functional peers, involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company.
- Must be able to lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of IT and accounting principles & systems
- Proficient with payroll software
- Knowledge of multi-jurisdictional tax regulations and multi-state tax regulations
- Ability to work in high-volume areas with multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
