We are looking for

Global Operational Excellence Expert

at one of our locations in Asia region - in Vietnam (Hai Duong City)

Your tasks:

The Global Operational Excellence Expert is responsible for driving and executing continuous improvement initiatives directly across global manufacturing sites, ensuring measurable impact on productivity, quality, and cost.

The role works closely with plant Operational Excellence teams and cross-functional stakeholders to implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies on-site, translating standards into practical solutions and delivering sustainable operational improvements.

As a hands-on expert in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving, the position focuses on realizing tangible results in operations, while aligning improvements with overall business objectives and strengthening a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Drive hands-on continuous improvement projects in plants, from problem identification through implementation to sustainability.

  • Work directly with shopfloor teams, supervisors, and plant management to eliminate waste and improve processes.

  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen workshops, Gemba walks, and structured problem-solving sessions on-site.

  • Translate global Operational Excellence standards into practical, applicable solutions within production environments.

  • Identify and implement both quick wins and structural improvements in productivity, quality, and cost.

  • Support sites directly in line balancing, layout optimization, bottleneck analysis, and setup reduction (SMED).

  • Ensure sustainable implementation of improvements through follow-up systems, KPI tracking, and accountability structures.

  • Challenge existing processes and drive change, including in resistant or complex environments.

  • Act as a hands-on coach for local Operational Excellence teams and plant leadership.

  • Contribute to global standards and best practices based on real implementation experience and site feedback.

  • Travel regularly to production sites to ensure direct execution impact and support local teams (approx. 40–60%).

  • Deliver measurable improvements in cost, quality, and productivity across multiple sites.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA (preferred).

  • Certifications & Specialized Knowledge: Lean Manufacturing expertise. Six Sigma certification (minimum Green Belt required). Strong knowledge of: Continuous Improvement methodologies. Operational Excellence frameworks. Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949) is an advantage.

  • Professional Experience. Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in: Operational Excellence. Continuous Improvement. Manufacturing operations. Solid experience in automotive manufacturing environment.

  • Proven experience: Implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in multi-site environments. Delivering measurable, on-site performance improvements. Working directly with global or regional manufacturing operations. Leading cross-functional improvement projects from identification through implementation and sustainability. Driving change in complex manufacturing/shopfloor environments.

  • Functional & Domain Expertise: Production / Lean (core focus). Exposure to E-Mobility market (preferred/plus). Experience in multicultural environments.

  • Languages: English – required.

  • Soft Skills: Strong teamwork orientation. High level of accountability. Inclusive and decisive thinking. Proactivity and flexibility.

Skills Required
