ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced Global Marketing Manager, Events to lead, innovate, and build out our global events strategy. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping how our brand is represented across third party and Okta hosted events globally, supporting lead generation efforts, and driving brand awareness across diverse markets and audiences. You will develop a playbook for how we show up at events, and collaborate with the field marketing team on execution. This is an important role for a highly motivated and creative thinker with a passion for B2B event marketing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Global event marketing strategy. Develop and deliver comprehensive event marketing strategies to increase brand visibility and generate high-quality leads on a global scale.
- Event playbook ownership. Build and manage a global event "playbooks" that ensures consistent and optimized execution for both third-party and company-hosted events.
- Event-in-a-box strategy. Lead the creation, rollout, and adoption of the "event in a box" strategy, providing comprehensive event kits for the field teams globally. Monitor field engagement and optimize kits for maximum impact.
- Follow-up optimization. Refine and enhance post-event follow-up processes and strategies to improve conversion rates, ensure pipeline efficiency, and drive measurable results.
- Cross-functional collaboration. Work closely with field and partner marketing teams to share global events playbooks, best practices, and post-event learnings to create a cohesive events experience.
- Brand consistency. Maintain consistency in brand voice, go-to-market messaging, and visual representation across all global events.
- Data & analytics. Leverage data to measure event performance, gather actionable insights, and report ROI to stakeholders. Continuously optimize strategies based on data-driven findings.
- Trend monitoring. Stay informed about the latest event marketing trends and technology to continuously innovate and improve event strategies and execution.
YOU WOULD BE A GREAT FIT FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with proven success in a similar role such as Global Events Marketing Manager, Field Marketing Manager, or similar.
- Proven track record of developing and executing global event marketing strategies that drive brand awareness and lead generation.
Analytical mindset with a proven ability to interpret event data, measure success metrics, and optimize strategies to improve ROI.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to be collaborative, and excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, enabling effective engagement with global field and partner teams.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams, ensuring quick turnaround and attention to detail even during tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of current event marketing trends, best practices, and technologies, with a focus on the B2B SaaS landscape.
- A strategic mindset with a balance of creative problem-solving skills and strategic thinking, combined with the ability to execute detailed plans.
- Understanding of marketing automation platforms and CRM systems to improve event follow-up and track leads effectively.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:
$123,000-$185,000 USD
