Purpose:

The Global Logistics and Uplift group owns DASI's end-to-end uplift pipeline, from the vendor relationships we source inventory through once a package has been won, to pre-inspection, pickup, and transportation into our warehouses. This role is a key leader responsible for leading DASI’s worldwide logistics strategy, execution, and performance.

This role is a hands-on role sitting at the intersection of vendor management, quality control, and transportation execution, and it directly protects DASI's ability to bid competitively with inventory customers can trust.

Supporting the VP of Global Logistics and Uplifts and Global Logistics and Uplifts Manager.

Key accountabilities:

  • Pre-Inspection of Inventory on successful winning bids including full reporting for Executive Management Team.
  • Review of packages to ensure part quality and safety before bid stage.
  • Support the VP and Manager of Global Logistics and uplifts in day to day running of the department.
  • Manage vendor pick /pack projects where required using third party resources.
  • Support and assist in global logistics strategy aligned with DASI’s growth and operational objectives.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance on-time delivery, minimize transit delays, and improve logistics reliability.
  • Analyzing potential scrap on site material working alongside the executive team.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export controls, customs requirements, and aviation-specific logistics standards across all uplift activity.
  • Establish and maintain robust compliance processes, documentation procedures, and audit protocols.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to manage regulatory updates and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure service-level adherence and build strong partnerships that support growth and operational excellence.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or service levels.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Sales, Procurement, Inventory, IT, and Customer Experience teams to ensure seamless end‑to‑end supply chain execution.
  • Support executive leadership with strategic insights, reporting, and operational recommendations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Key skills and competences:
  • Sharp, trained eye for material and part quality, able to assess inventory condition and make go/no-go calls under time pressure, in the field.
  • Strong vendor relationship and negotiation skills; comfortable being the face of DASI on-site with sourcing partners.
  • Expertise in international logistics, multimodal transportation, and trade compliance.
  • Data-driven decision-making; able to turn inspection and shipping data into executive-ready reporting.
  • High adaptability and decisiveness.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Experience managing global logistics networks, including multimodal transportation.
  • Experience with third party/ vendor management teams.
  • Prior experience in aviation, aerospace supply chain, or highly regulated industries strongly preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively, often on short notice
