Global Lead Learning & Development and Training Management (f/m/d) | Global Role | Berner Group

YOUR TASKS

In this role, you will combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution — globally, data-driven, and closely aligned with the business. Reporting to the Senior Director Talent, Leadership & Learning, you will shape and drive the global learning ecosystem across all regions.

Global Learning Strategy & Culture

  • You continue to refine and drive our company-wide, harmonized learning strategy that fosters a culture of continuous development

  • You create an environment that enables lifelong learning and embeds performance enablement and knowledge management into the flow of work

  • Your approaches support our business transformation and accelerate business growth by applying modern technology, AI driven approaches and newest neuroscience insights for learning

  • You establish global standards, frameworks, and governance for Learning & Development

Learning Portfolio & Program Excellence

  • You design and oversee a high-quality, global learning portfolio, aligned with business priorities

  • You ensure the effective development of impactful learning solutions (digital, blended, and classroom formats)

  • You define guidelines and processes for learning in the flow of work, including learning transfer and sustainability measures

Learning Needs & Business Impact

  • You support the identification of learning needs across functions, leadership levels, and regions

  • You ensure learning initiatives are aligned with strategic priorities and deliver measurable impact

  • You implement KPIs, reporting, and analytics to monitor effectiveness and continuously improve learning outcomes

Learning Technology & Innovation

  • You drive the implementation and update of our global learning technology ecosystem

  • You continuously screen external trends and innovations in digital learning and integrate them where relevant

  • You leverage modern technologies, including AI, to enhance learning experience, scalability, and efficiency

Global Collaboration & Capability Building

  • You manage a global team of learning technology specialists and instructional designers

  • You enable and support and orchestrate local L&D teams to build strong digital and classroom training capabilities

  • You foster collaboration across countries and functions to create synergies and share best practices

  • You act as a key partner within the international HR organization and beyond

YOUR PROFILE

  • Several years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or related HR fields, ideally in an international environment

  • Proven track record in building and implementing global learning strategies and frameworks

  • Strong understanding of modern learning methodologies, digital learning, and learning technologies

  • Experience with learning analytics, KPIs, and measuring learning effectiveness

  • Hands-on mindset combined with strategic thinking and strong execution capability

  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to collaborate across functions and regions

  • Fluent in English (C1); German is a plus

  • University degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field (or comparable qualification)

Skills Required

  • Several years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or related HR fields
  • Proven track record building and implementing global learning strategies and frameworks
  • Experience with digital, blended, and classroom learning solutions and learning technologies
  • Experience with learning analytics, KPIs, and measuring learning effectiveness
  • Experience managing a global L&D team or leading global learning initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate across functions and regions
  • Hands-on mindset combined with strategic thinking and strong execution capability
  • Fluent English (C1)
  • German language skills
  • University degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field (or comparable qualification)
  • Familiarity with AI-driven learning approaches and modern neuroscience-informed methodologies
