Global Lead, Digital Workplace Services - Unified Endpoint Management (UEM)

Summary

The Global Lead, Digital Workplace Services - Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) is accountable for the global strategy, governance, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise endpoint management services. Based in India, this role leads a global service portfolio that enables secure, reliable, compliant, and user-centric digital workplace experiences across corporate endpoints, mobile devices, applications, and virtual workplace services. 

The role partners closely with Digital Workplace Services, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, Procurement, business stakeholders, and strategic vendors to modernize endpoint services, improve digital employee experience, and strengthen operational resilience across the enterprise. 

Key Responsibilities 

Service Ownership and Strategy 

  • Own the global UEM service strategy, roadmap, service design, and operating model. 
  • Define service standards, governance, policies, controls, and service performance objectives. 
  • Drive endpoint modernization, workplace experience improvements, automation, and lifecycle management initiatives. 
  • Align UEM priorities with Digital Workplace Services, Security, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture strategies. 

Endpoint Management and Engineering 

  • Lead enterprise endpoint management services across Windows clients, mobile devices, virtual clients, and managed endpoints. 
  • Oversee Microsoft Intune, endpoint configuration, compliance policies, Windows engineering, device lifecycle, driver management, OS build management, and patch management. 
  • Ensure endpoint platforms are secure, scalable, standardized, and aligned with enterprise architecture and security requirements. 
  • Drive consistent endpoint configuration, compliance, and remediation practices across regions. 

Mobility, BYOD, and Application Services 

  • Lead mobility services including MDM, MAM, BYOD, mobile application management, and corporate mobile device support. 
  • Own the application packaging, software distribution, client application lifecycle, and application portfolio management service scope. 
  • Ensure secure and efficient delivery of business applications to corporate and eligible personal devices. 
  • Partner with application owners and security teams to improve software governance and deployment quality. 

Virtual Workplace and Digital Employee Experience 

  • Provide service leadership for virtual desktop, virtual application hosting, thin client, and related workplace virtualization services. 
  • Drive Digital Employee Experience capabilities by using experience analytics, telemetry, and proactive insights. 
  • Define and track XLAs, user experience indicators, adoption metrics, and productivity improvement opportunities. 
  • Improve endpoint performance, reliability, accessibility, and ease of use for employees globally. 

Security, Compliance, and Risk Management 

  • Ensure endpoint services comply with enterprise security, privacy, regulatory, and audit requirements. 
  • Partner with Cyber Security to strengthen endpoint hardening, vulnerability remediation, encryption, privileged access, and compliance monitoring. 
  • Own and drive remediation plans for endpoint-related service risks, audit findings, and control gaps. 
  • Ensure changes to endpoint services follow approved governance, change management, and release processes. 

Operations, Service Delivery, and Continuous Improvement 

  • Ensure stable global service operations, service availability, and operational readiness for UEM services. 
  • Monitor service health through KPIs, SLAs, XLAs, incidents, problems, changes, and service improvement plans. 
  • Drive automation, self-service, standardization, proactive monitoring, and operational efficiency. 
  • Act as a senior escalation point for major incidents, service risks, and executive-level concerns. 

Vendor, Financial, and Stakeholder Management 

  • Manage strategic vendors and managed service providers supporting endpoint, mobility, application, and virtual workplace services. 
  • Conduct service reviews, performance governance, contract input, and continuous improvement discussions with suppliers. 
  • Support budget planning, forecasting, cost optimization, demand management, and investment proposals for the UEM portfolio. 
  • Communicate service performance, risks, roadmap progress, and decision needs to senior stakeholders. 

People Leadership 

  • Lead, coach, and develop globally distributed managers, engineers, service owners, and operational teams. 
  • Build a culture of accountability, customer focus, collaboration, engineering discipline, and continuous improvement. 
  • Develop capability plans, succession readiness, skills uplift, and cross-functional ways of working. 
  • Promote inclusive leadership and effective collaboration across time zones and regions. 

Accountabilities 

  • Global UEM strategy, roadmap, standards, and governance. 
  • Endpoint engineering, device lifecycle management, configuration, compliance, and patching. 
  • Mobility services, BYOD, MDM, MAM, and mobile application services. 
  • Client application packaging, distribution, portfolio management, and lifecycle governance. 
  • Virtual workplace services including virtual desktop and virtual application services. 
  • Digital Employee Experience measurement, reporting, and service improvement. 
  • Endpoint security posture, risk remediation, audit readiness, and compliance outcomes. 
  • Vendor performance, financial governance, operational stability, and stakeholder communication.
