Position Summary:
The Global IT System Architect is responsible for overseeing, managing and developing the global organization's IT environment and infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking systems. The role also includes incident, change and problem management, network monitoring, and supporting employee on- and off-boarding processes.
To succeed in this position, candidates should have at least seven years of experience in IT infrastructure and architecture or a similar role. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Technical expertise in network management, system security, and a variety of operating systems is required. Problem-solving abilities and customer service skills are also important for this role, and relevant certifications will be considered advantageous.
Position: Global IT System Architect
Responsibilities:
- Build, change and optimize the global IT infrastructure on-prem and cloud.
- Actively participate in IT activities during new office openings.
- Provide justifications for all change requests in the global IT infrastructure.
- Proactively analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, provide recommendations for architecture, infrastructure and process improvements, follow best practices and company IT strategy.
- Administer network devices, network and connectivity, security updates, and patches, monitor network health.
- Administer virtualization environment.
- Administer on-prem and cloud IT environment.
- Administer (Azure) Active Directory.
- Administer Microsoft Windows servers – installation, configuration, upgrade, patching, etc.
- Administer Azure cloud products.
- Administer Windows Client and MacOS devices, including OS deployment, patching, and third-party software management.
- Manage user, service accounts, and permissions.
- Maintaining system administration documentation and systems based on best practices.
- Ensure compliance with group IT guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Perform Incident, Change and Problem management.
- Continuously improve the service through scripting and automation, monitoring environment, and configuration adjustments.
Requirements:
- 7 years of experience as Systems Administrator or in a similar position.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work well in a team and under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience with MDM.
- Experience with networks, routing, and managing ISPs.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows servers and MacOS.
- Experience with managing (Azure) Active Directory.
- Experience with AD, DNS, ADFS, DHCP, NPS, CA, Office 365.
- Experience with VPN and Firewall technology.
- Experience with Azure cloud products.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with Atlassian products (Jira Service Management).
- Experience with Intune.
- Experience with patching solutions for third party Windows based software.
- Virtualization certificates.
- Windows Server certificates.
- Network infrastructure certificates.
- Azure certificates.
- ITIL certificates.
- Other IT related certificates.
