Job Description Summary
ISO 20022 Program Technology team is looking for SDET - Test analyst who is well versed in XML language & schemas and experience in developing automation scripts for payments domain testing. This position will report into ISO Payments Test Lead
The candidate should be a seasoned QA /Test professional with extensive Subject Matter Expertise in SWIFT payments (MT and MX), Financial Markets Infrastructures and RTGS systems.
About the Program:
ISO 20022 is a SWIFT industry mandated program that will oversee migration of all SWIFT MT traffic to XML based payment over the course of next 4 years.
The SDET - Test analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Responsibilities:
- Supports initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production. Testing specialists who work with technology project managers, UAT professionals and users to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans for an application testing strategy/approach.
- Analysis to ensure that applications meet or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.
- Creates test scripts; executes test scripts according to application requirements documentation; logs defects in JIRA/ALM.
- Retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
- Documents evolution of testing cases scripts for future replication.
- Contributes to the development of test plans.
- Interfaces with development teams if clarification is needed on requirements.
- Exhibits good understanding of procedures and concepts within own technical area and a basic knowledge of these elements in other areas.
- Requires a good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area.
- Makes evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information; resolves problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents.
- Exchanges ideas and information in a concise and logical way; recognizes audience diversity.
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Expertise in Core Java and In-depth Knowledge of Collections.
- Expertise with handling XML, JSON, Txt, Excel, CSV.
- Expertise in BDD Cucumber and API framework, Hybrid Framework adoptions.
- Working knowledge of IBM MQ’s and different File transfer protocols
- Expertise in tools like : Selenium, Rest Assured, Postman, Jenkins, CI-CD pipelines, TestNG, Maven, BitBucket, JIRA, Mongo DB, SQL, Oracle DB, Unix / Shell scripting / Git commands.
- The responsibilities includes but not limited to maintaining and enhancing developed frameworks. Maintaining code review in standardized repositories on daily basis. Creating New test scripts and updating Regression suite – from functional and non-functional perspective. Partner with other teams like BA, SMEs, Developers to improve release processes. Should be good with defect managements and testing collaborations.
- Should have an end user mentality of using and verifying payment products.
Qualifications:
- 5-9 years relevant testing experience preferred
- Experience in software application testing
