Global Investment Bank- Business Management (Business Analytics Specialist) - Associate
Join the APAC Global Investment Banking Business Management team and make strategic impact as a business analytics specialist
As a Business Manager within the APAC Global Investment Banking (GIB) team, you will drive business results and execute strategic initiatives. In addition, you will leverage data-driven insights, perform critical analysis, and execute projects to support decision-making and track KPIs. With exposure to all aspects of the business, this high-impact, visible role is ideal for those with a background in business management, finance or data analytics. The position is based in Hong Kong.
Job responsibilities:
- Support analytical efforts for GIB senior management and GIB F&BM teams
- Assist in coordinating projects across Product and Coverage business management, in collaboration with GIB F&BM senior management
- Help establish and track new key performance indicators and senior management metrics
- Contribute to the automation of processes and the development of new KPIs/reporting
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop innovative solutions
- Partner with Technology to support the design and implementation of new tools for senior GIB management
- Leverage data-driven insights for strategic decision-making, business growth, and trend analysis
- Design dashboards and reports to track KPIs, apply statistical techniques, and provide expertise on reporting frameworks and best practices
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance, business management or data analytics roles
- Proficiency in coding languages (Python), data visualization tools (eg Tableau), experience with productivity tools (eg Alteryx, UI Path, databricks, ThoughtSpot) as well as familiarity with AI/LLM integration into Finance and Business Management processes
- Proven ability to manage projects on business expansion/simplification, influence stakeholders, and deliver results under tight deadlines
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic environment
- Team player who collaborates effectively with diverse stakeholders across various disciplines and seniority levels
- Self-starter with a positive attitude, motivation, and quick learning ability
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Banking and Financial Services background is an added advantage
- Formal training in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics or a related field preferred
