As a Markets Sales Assistant in the Local Markets Sales team, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end trade process and ensuring accuracy and compliance in all sales operations. You will collaborate with various internal teams to maintain efficient workflows and provide timely support for post-trade activities. In this role, you'll help us deliver outstanding service to our clients and contribute to the team's success.
Job Responsibilities
- Handle, operate, and follow up on end-to-end trade processes to ensure smooth front-to-back workflows and accuracy of all entries
- Ensure internal controls are followed and all risk and control measures are checked
- Coordinate with Operations to pick up transactions, close or amend deals, book trades, and oversee settlement and post-trade activities
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure requirements are met, valuation statements are delivered, audit requirements are responded to, and settlement processes are completed efficiently
- Manage internal sales blotters, trade records, and prepare management reporting
- Provide timely support for internal queries and resolve post-trade related issues
- Work closely with Sales, Trading, Business Managers, Relationship Managers, Operations, IT, Risk, Client Services, Compliance, and Legal
- Assist with ad-hoc requests and handle queries in a timely manner, maintaining an independent mindset
- Support ad-hoc requests from the Sales Desk and clients
- Knowledge of markets and derivatives
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Excel, VBA, and data analysis/query
- Strong attention to detail, ethics, and integrity
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Strong self-organization and multi-tasking capacity
- Up to 3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience working in a sales or trading support role
- Familiarity with trade booking and settlement processes
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with management reporting
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
