We are looking for a Global HR Knowledge Management Lead to build, lead and operate Syngenta’s global HR Knowledge Management capability.

This is a pivotal role for someone who can turn a knowledge-management vision into a practical, sustainable operating model. You will establish the governance, standards, controls and routines that ensure HR knowledge is trusted, current, accessible and reusable across a complex global organisation.

Initially operating as a one-person Knowledge Management Hub, you will combine strategic capability leadership with hands-on delivery. You will work across HR Services, Centres of Expertise, Global Process and Domain Owners, HR Digital, GSS and country HR teams to strengthen accountability, address quality and ownership gaps, and deliver measurable improvements.

Accountabilities: 

• Define and deliver the global HR Knowledge Management strategy, target operating model and multi-year roadmap.
• Establish and maintain a global HR Knowledge Governance Framework, including roles, decision rights, forums and escalation routes.
• Build and sustain a federated network of Knowledge Owners, Domain Owners and subject-matter experts.
• Set HR-wide standards for taxonomy, metadata, accessibility, versioning, reviews and knowledge retirement.
• Design and operate lifecycle controls covering knowledge creation, validation, approval, publication, maintenance and retirement.
• Identify and resolve duplicate, obsolete, conflicting, high-risk or ownerless content, ensuring actions are completed or escalated.
• Develop knowledge-health reporting, dashboards, maturity assessments and executive-level updates.
• Lead governance forums, ownership reviews and prioritisation routines, with clear decision materials and follow-through.
• Coach knowledge owners and SMEs, remove barriers and drive remediation to agreed outcomes.
• Define requirements that enable trusted HR knowledge to be consumed through digital and AI-enabled channels.
• Use search patterns, user feedback and service insights to prioritise continuous improvements.
• Drive adoption of common standards across global and local HR teams while recognising justified local and regulatory variation.

• Significant experience leading enterprise knowledge management, HR operations, service delivery, process excellence or a comparable global capability.
• BSc or MSc university degree in a related subject. 
• Demonstrated experience defining and implementing governance, operating models, standards and decision rights in a complex global matrix.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional transformation initiatives, driving adoption, managing competing priorities, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Experience influencing senior leaders, process owners, and stakeholders across organizational boundaries without direct authority
• Ability to move fluently between strategic Leadership and detailed execution, personally producing high-quality deliverables, operating controls, solving complex problems and driving actions to closure.
• Experience operating within global organizations and navigating diverse stakeholder groups, regional requirements, and business priorities
• Experience with AI implementations, or with designing and managing knowledge for AI-enabled solutions, is highly desirable.
• Practical understanding of enterprise knowledge platforms, content ecosystems and digital self-service.
• Fluent English language knowledge.
