Global Head of Indirect Procurement

The Global Head of Indirect Procurement is responsible for developing and executing the global indirect procurement strategy, driving digital transformation and process harmonization across all legal entities. The role builds and leads the global indirect procurement team, establishes robust KPIs and analytics, and owns the end-to-end procurement lifecycle to deliver business value through effective stakeholder management, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations.

This position is based in Abu Dhabi.

Major Accountabilities: 

• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing global indirect procurement team across regions
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve global procurement processes to drive efficiency, standardization, and best practices across indirect categories
• Establish and maintain global policies, guidelines, and governance for indirect procurement
• Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement-related financial, operational, contractual, and reputational risks
• Monitor and strategically manage global indirect spend to deliver sustainable savings, efficiencies, and business value across Arcera
• Own strategic tendering processes and lead negotiations for business-critical and high-value global projects
• Lead global contract management and procurement technology implementation, including Coupa
• Integrate subsidiaries into the global indirect procurement organization and drive harmonization of processes, policies, and guidelines

Competencies / Experience: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in indirect procurement within an international environment
• 4–5+ years of proven leadership experience at a global level
• Experience working with and reporting to executive management
• Proven track record of developing and executing long-term indirect procurement strategies
• Demonstrated experience in building and developing high-performing procurement organizations and teams
• Results-driven leadership style with the ability to engage, motivate, and lead teams across multiple regions
• Strong analytical capabilities combined with excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with a solid understanding of cross-functional business processes
• Ability to influence internal stakeholders and drive adherence to global procurement policies, processes, and guidelines
• Continuous improvement mindset and ability to act as a challenging, pragmatic, and effective business partner
• Strong expertise in contract management and project leadership
• Exceptional negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
• Fluent in English
