 About the Role

We’re seeking a Global Growth Director to accelerate growth across The Ogilvy Group. We need a strategic and relentless individual, who will play a key role in identifying and running new growth opportunities for the agency across North America, LatAm, EMEA, and APAC. Reporting into the Global Head of Growth, this person is a hunter — a senior pitch leader trusted to take our largest, most complex integrated opportunities and run them autonomously, end to end. 

What You'll Do
  • Lead large-scale, integrated, multi-market pitchesfrom qualification through win, owning the strategy, the choreography, and the storytelling
  • Operate autonomously on the most complex opportunities— bringing the right talent, capabilities, and craft together across Ogilvy, Grey, and the broader WPP ecosystem
  • Partner closely with our CCOs and capability leaders(creative, strategy, production, PR, influence, experience) to shape sharp, differentiated points of view that win
  • Be the connective tissue across a HoldCo environment— pulling together teams across geographies, P&Ls, and disciplines to deliver one cohesive Ogilvy Group answer
  • Bring a point of viewto every brief — on the brand, the category, the cultural moment, and the work — and have the confidence to make decisions and move fast
  • Work side-by-side with the Global Head of Growthas a senior thought partner on the global growth agenda, pipeline shaping, and prioritization
  • Coach and elevatethe broader growth community, raising the bar on rigor, craft, and pitch culture
  • Travel globally for pitches as necessary

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive new business strategy for The Ogilvy Group, identifying and prioritizing key client targets and global growth opportunities.
  • Craft winning narratives informed by global and regional expertise for major integrated pitch efforts across Ogilvy Group and WPP.
  • Match client problems and opportunities to our capabilities in a way that highlights our competitive advantage.
  • Distil complex information into clear, actionable roadmaps for success.
  • Provide thought leadership and expert guidance on the evolving marketing, creative, and communications landscape — staying ahead of industry trends and anticipating client needs.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with senior decision-makers within target organizations, building trust and establishing The Ogilvy Group as their partner of choice.
  • Track, monitor, and report on business development performance against the global plan.
  • Support the continued evolution of The Ogilvy Group’s New Business infrastructure and approach.

Pitch Excellence

  • Lead the entire pitch process — from opportunity identification and qualification through proposal development, pitch delivery, and close.
  • Act as ‘pitch producer’ on significant business development efforts: assemble account, creative, strategy, and production resources, call on content from across the network, manage the team, and see pitches through to a successful conclusion.
  • Work in partnership with the Global Growth team to maintain and grow relationships with advertising search consultants, putting the capabilities of The Ogilvy Group in the best possible position for significant client opportunities.
  • Provide direction, support, and assistance to local and regional new business teams on smaller opportunities — elevating the craft and consistency of pitching across the network.
  • Contribute to high-performing pitch teams, ensuring seamless collaboration across capabilities and disciplines.
  • Develop compelling, differentiated pitch narratives — partnering closely with our Chief Creative Officers and capability leaders — that demonstrate The Ogilvy Group’s distinct point of view.
  • Champion innovation and creativity in pitch development, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and approaches (including AI) to create engaging and persuasive presentations.

Team Management & Collaboration

  • Inspire a growth mindset within the New Business team and across the agency.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture, promoting knowledge sharing and best-practice adoption across markets.
  • Partner effectively across Ogilvy Group and WPP to ensure alignment and maximize new business success.
  • Operate as a senior, trusted right hand to the Global Head of Growth — confident enough to make decisions, push back when needed, and move with speed.
What You’ll Need
  • 8-10 years’ experience in an integrated communications agency environment, with a meaningful track record on global, multi-market new business.
  • Proven track record generating new revenue and converting major new business opportunities at a top-tier creative network.
  • Dynamic leadership, team-building, and team-management skills.
  • Excellent project management and ‘pitch producer’ skills — you can run a war room.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high energy and vibrance.
  • Ability to analyze, develop, sell in, and manage business strategies, plans, and business cases.
  • Prior experience leading large, integrated, multi-market pitches end-to-end.
  • Prior experience developing and executing overall marketing plans in an agency environment.
  • Strong presentation and senior client-facing skills; strong storytelling and an eye for detail to ensure the quality and accuracy of all materials that leave the agency.
  • Strong executive presence — earning the attention and respect of prospects and senior leaders at all levels.
  • Holdco fluency: comfortable navigating matrix structures, sister agencies, and cross-network collaboration without friction.
  • Existing relationships with senior decision-makers across major brands and search consultants is highly desirable.
  • High EQ and emotional maturity. Collaborative mindset. Self-starter with the desire to shape, manage, and grow the function.
  • Very strong proficiency in PowerPoint and/or Keynote and excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
