Hitachi energy is currently searching for a Global Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence - BU High Voltage. This individual will be responsible for defining and driving the adoption of the Business Unit’s Data, Analytics, and AI (DAAI) strategy in alignment with enterprise DAAI strategy and BU strategy and business objectives. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, AI Nexus Program and the Digital Transformation Organization (DTO) to enhance organizational efficiency and clearly articulate AI value potential, driving alignment, shared ownership, and successful adoption. Lead stakeholder engagement, change management, and capability building to enable scalable and compliant adoption of data-driven and AI solutions. The BU DAAI Lead is a member of the extended BU leadership team and acts as the single inter-face between BU leadership and Hitachi Energy’s Group Data, Analytics & AI (DAAI) organization, including the AI Nexus.
How you’ll make an impact
- Define and drive the Business Unit data, analytics, and AI strategy aligned with business objectives and in partnership with enterprise DAAI organization Identify, consolidate, and prioritize AI opportunities across Business Units and functions leveraging agreed governance framework across Enterprise
- Translate business requirements into clear AI use cases with defined value hypotheses.
- Develop and manage the Business Unit AI portfolio and roadmap end to end leveraging the enterprise framework and tools.
- Govern the AI lifecycle from ideation and proof of value to validation and scale‑up through enterprise governance framework
- Establish and enforce data, analytics, and AI governance, privacy, and ethical standards.
Steward Business Unit data assets to ensure quality, availability, harmonization, and compliance. - Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver AI initiatives with measurable business impact leveraging enterprise DAAI governance framework
- Own AI initiative budgeting, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and DAAI stakeholders.
- Communicate AI strategy, progress, and value to drive adoption and business alignment.
- Lead change, capability building, and people development for Data, Analytics, and AI and related stakeholders.
Your background
- Degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience in digital, data, analytics, and/or AI‑driven roles, including senior leadership responsibility in business process management or program implementation. - Experience in at least one of the following digital core systems: SAP, Windchill, Salesforce.
- Ability to understand complex business environments and translate strategic objectives into digital, data, and AI-enabled value creation.
- Effective communication skills with a proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders at all levels, fostering a collaborative environment to drive initiatives.
- Demonstrated competence in influencing and motivating teams to adopt new processes, reduce resistance, and achieve successful transitions to globally harmonized practices.
Skills Required
