THE ROLE
We are growing fast and our customer relationships are moving to the next level. We are redesigning how we support and work with our largest customers. We are looking for a Global Client Operations Director who will be key in driving day to day operational excellence across our key customer base. Working with the Global Strategic Account team to deliver clear onboarding, ramp up plans, ensure our ways of working are fast and agile and aligned to customer needs and we are drawing in the right expertise across the business to deliver.
You will be expected to be on the top of day-to-day delivery of the agreed testing plan and onboarding plan and supporting in client development plans. You will have a team of 2-3 SMEs to support you.
You will ensure the process run smoothly, the teams are following the guidelines and ways of working, test plans go live on time, use cases are developed, reporting is produced timely, errors addressed quickly, and action plans put in place.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will be instrumental and lead the overall day to day operations and delivery of customer plans working closely with the Global Strategic Partners and Customer Success teams to insure excellent delivery and ongoing evolution of it
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for the best use of technology, upskilling and ensuring the activation teams are fully onboarded on the latest solution available
- Create and deliver automation roadmap for operations and activation functions
- Drive improved ways of working
- Ensure all new team members joining both local onshore and offshore teams have been onboarded on the ways of working and have support required on an ongoing basis
- Help deploy the relevant technology tools driving efficiency and effectiveness
- Manage throughout the team and ensure they have development plans and thrive in their jobs
- Manage the evaluation process and develop action plans
- Oversee financial governance and compliance with the finance team
THE PERSON
We are looking for an ambitious, proactive curious and experienced digital operations specialist. They will be highly organized, able to work independently on projects where needed but also enjoy working within a team that has a strong, collaborative working ethos.
- 8-15 years of experience in media/ ad tech / operation roles with minimum 5 years of experience working in a fast paced agency environment ideally in global/regional capacity
- Has experience working with project management platforms like Jira
- Experience in working with offshore teams is beneficial
- Must have good knowledge of digital marketing practices and practical experience of digital tech and tools.
- Must have top line operational knowledge on adtech and mar-tech
- Experience communicating client briefs, technical concepts, questions and problems for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong interest experience in process improvement and automation
- Confident working with large amounts of data and information
- Able to review, optimise and rollout new processes and best practices

The base pay range for this position is as mentioned below per year, plus annual bonus. We take into consideration an individual’s background, expertise, and experience in determining final salary. In addition to annual salary, Smartly’s total rewards provide employees with stock options, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement savings benefits, parental leave, 5 weeks vacation, unlimited sick days, life insurance and disability benefits.
