REPORTS TO: Sr Analyst Global Operations Finance
We are looking for a Global Capex Analyst to support the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of Capex portfolio data across the organization. This role plays a critical operational function in maintaining the Portfolio Forecast file and ensuring reliable data inputs for monthly Capex reviews, KPI tracking, and executive decision-making.
Positioned at the intersection of engineering, finance, and systems, the role ensures that portfolio-level data is consistently updated, reconciled, and aligned with actual project execution. By delivering accurate and timely updates, this position enables transparent performance tracking, forecast reliability, and improved Capex governance.
Core Responsibilities:
Portfolio Data Management & Forecast Updates
- Maintain and update the Global Portfolio Forecast file, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of data.
- Consolidate monthly actuals spending from all segments, ensuring alignment with reported figures and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure consistency between forecast, actuals, and approved project data.
System Reporting & Data Integrity (PowerSteering)
- Extract and review daily reports from PowerSteering to track newly approved projects.
- Update and maintain the central Capex project database, ensuring alignment with system data.
- Perform data clean-up and validation activities in PowerSteering to improve data quality and usability
Stakeholder Coordination & Monthly Review Support
- Interface with segment engineering and finance teams to ensure timely updates to Capex forecasts.
- Proactively follow up on missing, outdated, or inconsistent information ahead of monthly governance reviews.
- Support consolidation of inputs for monthly Capex review cycles.
KPI Tracking & Performance Monitoring
- Maintain and update project approval dates and execution timelines to support tracking of Time KPIs.
- Ensure data completeness to enable accurate measurement of cycle time, approval lead time, and execution performance.
- Support analysis of portfolio trends by ensuring high-quality underlying data.
Qualified Candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Typically 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, data management, or project controls.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data handling (required).
- Familiarity with PowerSteering, SAP, or similar systems is a plus.
- High attention to detail and strong focus on data accuracy and discipline.
- Ability to manage recurring processes, deadlines, and large data volumes.
- Effective communication skills to engage with cross-functional and regional stakeholders.
