How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Responsibilities:
Process Strategy: Define and maintain the global payroll process model, policies, and standards.
Governance: Establish a clear governance framework to ensure all payroll activities are executed consistently and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Process Optimization & Innovation: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement by analyzing existing processes, leveraging new technology (e.g., automation, AI), and implementing best practices.
Payroll Project Leadership: Actively participate in, and often lead, major payroll projects. This includes managing the full project lifecycle for initiatives such as system migrations, outsourcing to a new provider, or implementing new operating models to harmonize and streamline global payroll operations.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related process issues and escalations. Collaborate with key stakeholders across HR, Finance, IT, and regional Business Units to ensure alignment and support for the global payroll vision.
Performance Management: Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs with both internal teams and external payroll providers ; Ensure that payroll services are delivered accurately, on time, and within budget.
Vendor Management: Oversee the overall performance of external payroll providers in close collaboration with regional contract managers ; Lead contract negotiations, manage vendor relationships, and ensure providers meet their contractual obligations and deliver high-quality services.
Change Management: Drive the adoption of new payroll processes and systems. This responsibility is executed in partnership with regional GBS teams who lead the on-the-ground change management efforts, including communication strategies and training programs, to ensure a smooth transition for employees and stakeholders.
Compliance & Risk Management: Stay up-to-date on global payroll regulations and compliance standards ; Develop and enforce controls to minimize risks, ensure data privacy, and maintain compliance across all countries of operation.
Open to candidates currently based in or willing to relocate to Lisbon, Krakow.
Are you a MATCH?
Profile overview:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in payroll, and especially in large-scale payroll system implementations and process harmonization projects.
Hard Skills:
Deep knowledge of global payroll processes, regulations, best practices, and strong understanding of payroll systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Payroll Providers).
Professional certifications such as FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) are a plus.
Process improvement certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.

Soft Skills:
Project management skills: Ability to lead complex payroll transitions, system integrations, and cross-border process alignment.
