A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Global Accounting Specialist at the MKS Business Support Center (BSC) in Poznan Poland, you will play a key role in central accounting functions, such as intercompany accounting, master data management of SAP FI and lease accounting, as well participate in finance projects. In this role, you will report to the Global Accounting Team Lead BSC Poznan.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Performs preliminary and final Intercompany reconciliations, resolving intercompany reconciling items (exceeding the threshold) within month-end reporting timelines
  • Participate and play a key role in the financial transformation and integration between Atotech and MKS in establishing the intercompany process reconciliation in the light of implementation of the new tool Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
  • Maintain General Ledger Master Data in SAP FICO, including the creation and maintenance of GL accounts, ensuring adherence to proper placement in group financial statements structure and hierarchies within SAP FI and CO in compliance with group reporting requirements
  • Support the Finance organization for issues related to master data
  • Ensure the process around master data maintenance is secure and complies with SOX regulations
  • Manage the end-to-end lease accounting process, including evaluation and set-up of new lease agreements and reassessment of existing lease agreements in accordance with US GAAP, utilizing ProLease software application, including distribution of monthly lease accounting journal entries and reconciliation reports to subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Support and actively contribute to group finance projects around areas like group chart of accounts, financial controls, integration of month-end activities and global month-end closing checklist, account reconciliation and intercompany accounting, amongst others
  • Further development, standardization and improvement of accounting processes, technical systems & applications, assuring they fully adhere to group policies and SOX controls
  • Document the new enhancements and standards, provide end user trainings and support their successful implementation to the above mentioned areas

Skills You Bring:

  • Academic graduate in Finance and Accounting or comparable
  • 2+ years of working experience in Finance and Accounting (preferred in SCC); experience in General Ledger / R2R is a plus
  • English min. B2
  • Microsoft Excel skills at an advanced level
  • Advanced SAP – R/3 skills
  • FICO / SAP month-end closing experience
  • Experience in leading or contributing to finance related projects will be a plus
