Candidate will primarily provide claim technical oversight to TPA staff for general liability claims. The position requires knowledge of ISO general liability coverage for middle market general liability customers. Knowledge of New York labor law 240 is a plus. The position interacts with MGU executives, internal underwriting, internal actuaries and other internal cross functional support areas.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide coverage, investigative, vendor selection, claim recovery and resolution advice to TPA adjusters.
- Provide feedback on reservation of rights and coverage disclaimer letters to TPA adjusters.
- Select, coordinate conduct and complete annual claim file reviews (audits) for TPA handled programs under management.
- Present audit findings to program MGU, TPA senior leadership and underwriting.
- As required, identify, implement or provide required skill building for TPA adjusters on Arch programs.
- Attend and present as requested to underwriting at program renewals.
- Implement and chair regular communication meetings with the MGU, the MGU’s claim staff, TPA adjusters and Arch underwriters to assure transparency in program claim handling.
- Professionally communicate large loss heads-up written communication at defined thresholds.
- Review monthly TPA bordereaux and reconcile to internal claim system.
- Identify and communicate legal trends to internal program underwriters that may impact program profitability.
- Provide program underwriting team feedback on MGU and program performance.
- Some travel is required (3-5 trips annually)
Experience required:
- 5-7 years of experience in general liability claim supervision.
- 3-5 years of experience interacting with MGU’s, underwriting management and actuaries.
- The position demands strong influence management skills, mentoring and supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of working with bordereaux is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
For O'Fallon, Alpharetta: $83,600 - $112,918/year
For Chicago: $97,100 - $131,130/year
For NY, NJ: $107,900 - $145,700/year

Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
