GL Accountant, FSS
Who we are looking for
We’re looking for a GL Accountant to oversee end-to-end GL activities and ensure accurate, compliant reporting for Group and statutory purposes.
Who you will report to
The position reports to GL Team Leader.
What you will work on
Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
Support statutory reporting and tax filings (where required)
Handle end-to-end GL bookkeeping and monthly journal entries
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing
Perform account reconciliations, analysis, and P&L / balance sheet reviews
Monitor cash flow forecasting with the Treasury team
Coordinate internal and external audits
Maintain fixed asset and investment records
Support process improvements and assist junior team members
Qualifications you have for this role
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting or Finance
2-5 experience in finance accounting and reporting
Previous experience in a similar General Ledger environment within an organisation or SSC/BPO environment is advantageous
Computer literacy – Excel, Word and other large enterprise systems advantageous (e.g. IFS, SAP, Oracle etc.)
Excellent English skills required, written and verbal. Additional European / Middle Eastern / Asian language(s) skills will be advantageous
High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency

The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur office located at KL Sentral which is a strategic work location with convenience travelling by Monorail, Rapid Kelana Jaya Line, MRT and KTM services as well as easy to get to go by public transportation.
