GL Accountant, FSS
Who we are looking for
We’re looking for a GL Accountant to oversee end-to-end GL activities and ensure accurate, compliant reporting for Group and statutory purposes.
Who you will report to
The position reports to GL Team Leader.
What you will work on
- Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Support statutory reporting and tax filings (where required)
- Handle end-to-end GL bookkeeping and monthly journal entries
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing
- Perform account reconciliations, analysis, and P&L / balance sheet reviews
- Monitor cash flow forecasting with the Treasury team
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Maintain fixed asset and investment records
- Support process improvements and assist junior team members
Qualifications you have for this role
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting or Finance
- 2-5 experience in finance accounting and reporting
- Previous experience in a similar General Ledger environment within an organisation or SSC/BPO environment is advantageous
- Computer literacy – Excel, Word and other large enterprise systems advantageous (e.g. IFS, SAP, Oracle etc.)
- Excellent English skills required, written and verbal. Additional European / Middle Eastern / Asian language(s) skills will be advantageous
- High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency

Location
The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur office located at KL Sentral which is a strategic work location with convenience travelling by Monorail, Rapid Kelana Jaya Line, MRT and KTM services as well as easy to get to go by public transportation.
