Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Perform and review GL bookings and journal entries in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and proper classification of factory expenses, including expense tracking and analysis.
- Perform general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Support the month-end and period-end closing process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and periodic reconciliation reports.
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting files, supporting documentation, and records in accordance with company policies and generally accepted accounting practices.
- Ensure appropriate processes and internal controls are established and maintained to effectively manage the general ledger function.
- Provide accurate and timely financial bookings and accounting information to support financial reporting and business operations.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for KPMG audits and other internal and external audits, and coordinate responses to audit requests as required.
- Identify accounting issues and discrepancies, conduct appropriate research, and implement resolutions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional teams to ensure effective and efficient execution of accounting-related processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes, controls, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Participate in ad-hoc accounting projects and other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting.
- 2–3 years of experience in the accounting field; experience in an accounting firm is a plus.
- Background in GL accounting; experience in general accounting or cost/manufacturing accounting preferred.
- Understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
- Strong Excel skills and basic financial analysis capability.
- Good PC skills, including MS Office; ERP experience desirable (Oracle preferred).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; English proficiency required.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle daily tasks accurately.
- Ability to adapt quickly, learn independently, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Able to work under pressure and in a team environment; proactive and self-motivated.
- Manufacturing environment experience is a plus.daily jobs.
