This position requires an active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level with required polygraph.
Vantor is seeking a skilled Geospatial Analyst to support geospatial data processing, analysis, and visualization efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with spatial databases, ESRI software, and advanced geospatial analysis techniques to produce high-quality analytic outputs, visualizations, and decision-support products.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with internal and external data providers to acquire geospatial and non-geospatial data relevant to project requirements.
- Evaluate, clean, format, and validate data sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
- Upload, manage, and maintain geospatial data within PostgreSQL/PostGIS databases.
- Insert, process, and query spatial data using SQL to generate geospatial layers and analytic outputs.
- Execute defined spatial queries within PostgreSQL/PostGIS to support program analytics.
- Modify and develop new spatial queries to generate additional or enhanced geospatial products.
- Produce geospatial data products, including but not limited to:
- 2D and 3D map products
- 3D scene visualizations and animations
- Change detection analyses
- Feature extraction outputs
- Perform geospatial and statistical analyses to identify spatial and temporal patterns, trends, and relationships.
- Use ESRI software to properly symbolize complex datasets and create map projects suitable for analysis, briefing, and presentation.
- Support training briefings, demonstrations, and documentation related to geospatial tools and products.
- Provide user support and technical assistance to stakeholders and end users as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, including inserting data, managing spatial tables, and writing spatial SQL queries.
- Strong experience using ESRI software (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise) for data visualization, symbology, and map production.
- Experience working with diverse geospatial data formats and sources.
- Demonstrated ability to clean, transform, and integrate geospatial datasets.
- Knowledge of geospatial analysis methods, spatial statistics, and pattern detection.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 3D geospatial visualization and animation workflows.
- Familiarity with change detection, feature extraction, or automated geospatial analysis techniques.
- Experience supporting training or user onboarding for geospatial tools.
- Background working in analytics, research, or operational environments.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
● The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $118,000.00 - $196,000.00 annually.For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
