Partner with the best The Geomechanics Specialist position is part of the Latin America organization and plays a key role in delivering technical differentiation through expertise in reservoir geomechanical modeling. In this role, you will conduct geomechanics projects in Brazil while supporting consulting activities and customer engagements across the Latin America region. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative solutions that help customers better understand and manage subsurface behavior throughout the oilfield lifecycle.
As a Geomechanics Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Executing geomechanical studies and consulting projects for customers across the oil and gas industry.
- Building and calibrating geomechanical models using available subsurface data and event analysis.
- Performing stress constraint studies, pore pressure prediction, and wellbore stability analysis.
- Conducting rock mechanics evaluations, fracture permeability assessments, fault seal analysis, and sand production prediction studies.
- Analyzing image logs, caliper logs, and other subsurface datasets to support technical interpretations.
- Preparing technical reports, presentations, project documentation, and client deliverables.
- Collaborating with geoscientists, reservoir engineers, drilling engineers, and other technical professionals on multidisciplinary projects.
- Providing local technical support for regional cross-product line initiatives.
- Supporting business development activities by building and maintaining strong technical and commercial relationships with customers.
- Maintaining frequent communication with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Ensuring compliance with Baker Hughes quality, safety, and HSE standards.
- Contributing to the successful delivery of consulting projects throughout Brazil and Latin America.

- Have a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geosciences, or a related discipline.
- Have professional experience in geomechanics with at least 5 years of experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Demonstrate proficiency in geomechanical model building and practical experience with geomechanics software applications.
- Be comfortable working independently as well as within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Possess strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Have strong project management and organizational skills.
- Have advanced English communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
