To provide precise geodetic and surveying services throughout the lifecycle of dam and hydropower infrastructure projects. The role ensures accurate data collection, monitoring, mapping, and alignment verification to support engineering design, construction, safety monitoring, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct baseline geodetic and control point establishment
- Perform topographic and hydrographic surveys
- Coordinate with design teams for accurate base maps
- Stakeout of design coordinates
- Monitor excavation, fill, and alignment
- Provide as-built data
- Support construction tolerances and geotechnical interface
- Verify design-construction conformance
- Establish geodetic benchmarks for deformation monitoring
- Conduct regular settlement, displacement, and tilt surveys
- Integrate geodetic data with geotechnical instruments
- Report anomalies to engineering/safety teams
- Contribute to dam safety and O&M documentation
- Compile and process spatial data using GIS and CAD
- Create terrain models, maps, and 3D renderings
- Ensure accurate documentation and storage
- Support spatial analysis for hydrological modelling
- Maintain up-to-date survey records
- Comply with safety and environmental regulations
- Maintain ethical and legal surveying standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geodetic Engineering, Surveying Engineering
- PRC License or Equivalent Local Surveyor Registration
- Experience in dam and hydropower projects.
- Familiarity with GIS, CAD, and 3D terrain modelling
- Construction site survey coordination
- Geodetic/Surveying in large infrastructure project
- Geodetic principles, and leveling instruments
- CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D), GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), Excel
- Hydrological and hydraulic model integration
- Remote sensing and LIDAR technology
- Knowledge of FIDIC or project management tools
